Building cortical networks: from molecules to function

CMCB Life Sciences Seminar for Scientists

Date:16/05/2019, 16:00 - 17:00

Host: Dr. Madalena Carido (CRTD/DZNE)

Abstract
Understanding brain function and dysfunction begins with the knowledge of how neuronal connections are established and organised in functional networks. To address this question my lab is focused in three main questions: 1) How are the mammalian cortical networks built, 2) how do they respond to activity and, 3) What are the functional consequences of disrupting the development of cortical circuitries.
