Teaching in the CRTD

Many roads lead to biotechnology: You can either study biotechnology at a university (of applied sciences) or you find your way to biotechnology via biology or biochemistry. Whichever way you choose, the chances of getting a job in the white, red or green biotechnology sector are manifold. Please find detailed information about studying biotechnology and potential work areas as for example in the Dresden research laboratory of Gerd Kempermann on biotechnologie.tv, an initiative of the Federal Ministry for Research and Education.

CRTD members and group leaders are teaching in several faculties of the Technische Universität Dresden. They are engaged in different teaching activities:

International Master's Program in Regenerative Biology and Medicine

In winter term 2010/11 a new international master program in Regenerative Biology and Medicine has been launched. Please find more information on the program here.

Bachelor Molecular Biotechnology

The Bachelor in Molecular Biotechnology has been established at the Technische Universität Dresden since the winter term 2000/2001. In 3 years (6 terms) students gain biotechnological know-how and knowledge about scientific methods. Please find more information here.

Master programs at the BIOTEC

The Biotechnology Center of the Technische Universität Dresden offers and organizes two master programs in "Molecular Bioengineering" and in "Nanobiophysics". The programs are hosted by the Biotechnology Center. Please find more information here.

Dresden International PhD Program (DIPP)

The Dresden International PhD Program provides outstanding opportunities for university graduates to work towards a PhD with ambitious thesis projects in the following three interconnected research areas:

1.    Cell, Developmental and Systems Biology (CellDevoSys Program)
2.    Regenerative Medicine (RegMed Program)
3.    Molecular Bioengineering and Biophysics (BioEng Program)

Please find more information here.

Bioscience PhD Students (BiPS)

PhD students in the BIOTEC/CRTD can also be independently employed by a professor or group leader. Please find more information here.
