More than 200 members of the CRTD network took part in the 9th CRTD Summer Conference on Regenerative Medicine on June 5, 2015. The conference started with a keynote lecture from Prof. Dr. Magdalena Götz, Helmholtz Center Munich and LMU, Munich, Germany, who talked about the transition “From forced neurogenesis to neural repair”. The CRTD facility leaders Andreas Dahl and Marcus Burkhardt presented their services at the Deep Sequencing Facility as well as at the Light Microscopy Facility (LMF) and the new group leader of the CRTD Prof. Dr. Sebastian Zeißig introduced his research focus to the participants. Furthermore, three short talks chosen from the submitted poster abstracts had the chance to present their work at the conference. The closing keynote presenter Prof. Dr. Jürg Kesselring, ETH Zurich and Kliniken Valens, Switzerland, talked about the International committee of the Red Cross and 150 years of humanitarian service.
In the following poster session about 120 posters from the five different research areas and interest groups of the CRTD were presented. For the first time all posters were arranged in a new interactive format to foster communication between members of different RACs. Several judges evaluated the posters for poster prizes that were sponsored by the Friends and Patrons of the Center for Regenerative Therapies Dresden e.V.

The poster prize winners are:

- Translation poster: Judith Konantz (CRTD)
- Research poster: Prayag Murawala (CRTD)
- Presentation poster: Lisa Kube (Department of Medicine and Cardiology Dresden)

Afterwards, the guests celebrated at the Summer Party after the conference with lots of attractions for the children and music until late in the evening. We hope to see you all next year again!
